As a key member of our design leadership team, you will be responsible for helping to maintain a strong culture based on creative excellence and achievement of strategic objectives. We are looking for expertise in textile design and development for home goods, focused on but not limited to Rugs. The right candidate will be excited by the prospect of building up our design capability in non-printed products.This role is based in our LA Design Product Studio with a hybrid schedule (office / remote).What You’ll Do : Lead a team of designers responsible for Seasonal & Core product that aligns with the Ruggable Design Roadmap and Brand VisionCollaborate with the VP of Design to develop a robust portfolio of products for the home that enhance our brand aesthetic and customer appealWork closely with our Product Leadership team to assess new opportunitiesCreate visually compelling mood boards to inspire new productsCollaborate with cross functional teams to ensure design consistency and alignment with brand standardsWork closely with Design PD team to build relationships, develop unique rug collections, and ensure timely delivery.Oversee the creation of production-ready textile design files and assess strike-offs for color and design accuracyManage project timelines, prioritize tasks, identify potential risks, and communicate project updates effectivelyProvide strategic guidance and project management for both short-term and long-term design initiativesWhat You’ll Need to Have : Required : Bachelor's degree in Textile Design or a related field8-10 years of experience in a design leadership role, preferably within the home furnishings or textile industryExperience leading and managing team of designersProficiency in Adobe SuiteExperience leading, motivating and mentoring high performance teamsExcellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbalProven track record of leading design projects from initial concept to completionAbility to work independently and proactively to overcome obstaclesData-driven approach to decision-making, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environmentPreferred : Strong interest in home and textile design, particularly rug designTextile Expertise in a variety of constructions including but not limited to Woven, Knitted and EmbroideredCompensation : $130,000-$175,000 per year base salaryAn annual bonus percentage that varies based on level of roleEmployer matching (up to 3% of base salary) for company sponsored 401K planAt Ruggable, we offer competitive compensation and benefits packages.
