About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Waite Park, MN. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for designing overhead cranes & monorails and their components and structures that support them. Your main goal will be ensuring our products are safe, efficient, and reliable. You will work closely with other engineers and team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Your contributions will be critical to the success of our company.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Proficiency in Solidworks, Autocad, and other mechanical design software
- Experience in stress analytical studies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in finite element analysis
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials
- Experience in product development and project management
Responsibilities:
Perform all mechanical and structural engineering work for TC/American.
Develop and draw layout of assembly concept to meet customer specifications; Calculate loads and select or design standard components based on project requirements; Produce detailed drawings on computer-aided design system to support customer and manufacturing activities;
Assist with inventory management and material acquisition related to mechanical and structural equipment.
Identify root causes and solutions for mechanical and structural problems.
Develop mechanical and structural systems to meet special project requirements.
Utilize the ECO system to maintain our library of standard products
Manage multiple projects at one time.
Follow established departmental procedures and company policies.
Work closely with various departments throughout the company, including sales and manufacturing.
Skills:
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will utilize your expertise in Solidworks, Autocad, stress analytical, mechanical design, finite element analysis, and engineering analytical skills to design, develop, overhead cranes and related components. You will work collaboratively with other engineers and team members to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. Your strong analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential in conducting stress analytical studies to ensure product safety and efficiency. Your excellent communication and teamwork abilities will enable you to effectively collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to ensure the success of our projects.
