The Opportunity
Our Corporate Communications group is looking to add an #EnergyProblemSolver to the Business Communications team, based in Houston, TX.
Reporting to the Manager of Business Communications, US, we are seeking a well-rounded communications generalist who can manage end-to-end communications to communicate, engage and drive awareness of our business to external audiences as well as our more than 6,500 employees.

What you will do
Support project execution by developing and implementing with communication plans and tactics to successfully navigate projects through pre-construction and construction to integration into OperationsPrioritize, troubleshoot and escalate incoming communication requestsSupport our internal business partners by maintaining templates and guidance documents - ensuring access and awareness to the self-service tools availableAssess, review, edit and advise on internal communications plans and contentWork with our corporate communications team and business partners to identify, curate and publish content on our internal communication channels - for example, intranet news and announcements, and company-wide emailsCollaborate and liaise with the broader communications and external relations teamSupport project communications : create public notices and advertising for engagement, open house collateral, factsheets, conduct research as requiredManage project tracking and reportingPrepare PowerPoint templates and presentationsSupport internal communications, which could include employee town halls, presentations and speaking materials as well as employee advocacy initiativesWrite favorable content for Intranet, external website and social channelsMinimum Qualifications
Post-Secondary Degree in a relevant post-secondary field such as communications, journalism, public relations or businessFour years of related experienceExperience managing and publishing intranet news and announcements, weekly briefing newsletter and company-wide emailsPreferred Qualifications
Prior Co-op or Internship experience in a communications / PR teamEnergy or Regulated sector experienceExcellent use of prioritization and flexibility with changing prioritiesIntermediate understanding of Microsoft Office applications, specifically PowerPointExperience with web-based technology for managing incoming service requests and publishing communicationsThis position requires candidates to :
Occasionally be available for extended work hours outside of standard business hours
