TCs Community is a unique nonprofit created by family and friends to provide a supportive home and community for a woman who has autism and does not speak. This active, friendly woman thrives in her home and community with 24-hour support from staff and roommates. TC’s Community provides for her health, safety, a happy home life, nurturing relationships with family and friends, and ensuring her valued presence in favorite community activities.
TC’s Community is currently in search of a friendly, dependable, caregiver who understands the importance of providing support and meeting the needs of this wonderful woman.

Position Description
- Always ensure safety and well-being
- Assist her to bed and throughout the night as needed
- Actively engage with her through companionship and participating in her favorite activities
- Ability to be one-on-one with her at home completing routine home activities but strives to create new home-based activities as well
- Provide emotional support and encouragement to preform necessary tasks
- Maintain open communication with TC’s Community regarding her medical and emotional condition
- Document and report any changes in her health status
- Perform other reasonable duties as needed
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- No prior healthcare or caregiver experience required but experience/knowledge working with individuals who have chronic and acute conditions considered an asset
- Ability to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to problem solve quickly
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language to complete reports and documents
- Basic technology knowledge and familiarity of iPad/tablet usage
- Must have a valid driver’s license and meet TCs Community driving requirements
- Must have proof of adequate car insurance if using personal car for transporting her instead of the car provided by TCs Community.
- Pass all background and motor vehicle checks
- Must be female & non-smoking to be considered for this position
