Overview
We are looking to add an integral Sales Consultant to our team. In this person we're seeking a dedicated individual who enjoys event planning and scheduling, and who is great at building relationships. This person will be responsible for booking weddings, parties, social events, etc. through effective communication and relationship-building with clients. This role requires a blend of inside and outside sales skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively the inventory available to these clients. Duties

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with planners, venues, and clients through effective account management and communication
  • Check in on quotes in a timely fashion with phone calls and/or email
  • Prioritization of quotes/events based on the goals of the company
  • Schedule finalization calls with clients/planners
  • Answer phone calls with new inquiries or job related questions
  • Reach out to past jobs to receive photographs from the events
  • Respond to emails in a timely manner
  • Communicate with venues regarding installations
  • Analyze market trends to identify potential sales opportunities and tailor strategies accordingly.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients to secure profitable deals.
  • Collaborate with the inventory team to align sales strategies with inventory
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Assist in setup of events when needed (sometimes on weekends)
  • Be "on call" during busy season in rotation with other staff
  • Keep the showroom clean and welcoming
  • Update the showroom to reflect trends and tendencies in the event industry

Experience

  • Proven experience in direct sales, inside sales, or outside sales roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with technology sales is a plus, along with a strong understanding of the sales process.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively and close deals successfully.
  • Experience in account management, ensuring client satisfaction and retention.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess market conditions and adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for success in this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 50 per week
