What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler/Infant Teacher position at TCA Creative Minds Academy LLC?
We are looking for a creative, flexible, positive leader to join our group. At TCA Creative Minds we value the whole child, this includes superior nutrition, early learning, art projects, and lots of active play. We need someone to help us to create the most educationally stimulating environment as possible. We are a state certified family infant and preschool childcare and we are licensed by the state of Oregon to care for 15 children.
Minimum Qualifications:
-Ability to lead a classroom with 5 children, ages 6 weeks to 5 years old.
-Experience writing and implementing the Infant toddler curriculum
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills with parents, staff, and Directors.
-Ability to implement company policies and procedures with staff and parents
-Thorough knowledge of the Oregon Certified Center Rule Book and implements all rules
-Can assess the safety of the room while caring for 10 children. Able to come up with short and long term solutions to possible safety hazards
-Has a firm grasp of each and every child's developmental level, abilities, allergies, and overall daily routine
-Efficient; Ability to maximize use of time
-Able to organize information, lists, and organize classroom areas/supplies
-Able to manage and execute cleaning schedules, as well as change cleaning schedules if prior schedules are not working
-Minimum of 2 year commitment to position
*Child Development Associate, AA or BA in education or development field preferred, but not required
Start Date: As soon as possible; flexible for the right person
Applicants must be available to work an 8 hour shift during the following hours: Monday- Friday 6:30am-5:30pm

Required Training Paid for by Whole Babies:
-Current enrollment in Oregon's Central Background Check Registry or obtained upon job offer.
-Current Food Handler's Certification, or ability to obtain within the first 30 days
-Current CPR/First Aid Certification, or ability to obtain within the first 30 days
-Current Recognizing and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect Certification, or ability to obtain within the first 30 days
-Current Childcare Health and Safety Class, or ability to obtain within the first 30 days

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $19.00 per hour
