Warehouse General Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic Warehouse General Manager to oversee all aspects of warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities, optimizing processes, and ensuring efficient operations within the warehouse facility. The Warehouse General Manager will play a key role in driving continuous improvement initiatives and maintaining high standards of quality and productivity.

Responsibilities:

· Operational Leadership: Manage and oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping of products. Ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently to meet customer demands and service level agreements.

· Team Management: Supervise and lead a team of warehouse supervisors, general laborers, and administrative staff. Provide coaching, training, and performance management to ensure a high-performing and motivated workforce.

· Inventory Control: Implement inventory management best practices to maintain accurate inventory levels, minimize stockouts, and prevent overstock situations. Conduct regular cycle counts and audits to ensure inventory accuracy.

· Order Fulfillment: Coordinate with the logistics team to prioritize orders, optimize picking and packing processes, and ensure timely delivery of products to customers. Monitor order fulfillment metrics and implement improvements as needed.

· Safety and Compliance: Enforce safety regulations and best practices to create a safe working environment. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to warehouse operations, transportation, and product handling.

· Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain quality control processes to inspect products for damages, defects, or discrepancies. Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.

· Cost Management: Monitor warehouse expenses, such as labor costs, equipment maintenance, and inventory shrinkage. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements without compromising service levels.

Qualifications

- Strong background in supply chain management, inventory control, and warehouse management
- Proven experience in supervising teams and managing transportation operations
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and logistics processes
- Proficiency in inventory management and implementing process improvements
- Experience with profit & loss analysis and lean principles
- Familiarity with transportation planning and demand forecasting
- Previous experience in operations management and 3PL services
- Skills in distribution center operations, purchasing, and forklift operation

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Experience:

• Warehouse management: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
