The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for the full-time faculty position for the Building Construction Technology Program at the South Central Correctional Center in Clifton, Tennessee.
Job Duties
- Instruct students in technical training to prepare them to re-enter the job market in the building construction field through lecture, demonstrations, and/or audio-visual aids. • Prepare and/or revise syllabi of courses of study with detailed lesson plans. • Administer assessments to evaluate student progress. • Maintain student academic records and submit reports related to the program (i.e., grades, attendance, discipline, etc.). • Attend workshops and/or other training programs to remain current in the building construction industry. Overnight travel may be required. • Conduct and/or attend meetings, day and/or evening, with business and industry to develop working relationships with building construction industry personnel. • Perform other duties as may be assigned. - (Essential)
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Three years of successful recent employment in the area taught.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
- Evidence of good character, mature attitude, and stable personality.
- Prior teaching or evidence of ability to teach students a plus.
