The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Facilities Support Associate 4 at the Clarksville Campus.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma in related field preferred. A comparable combination of related education and related work experience may be considered.
Minimum of 3 years of full-time experience in building and/or mechanical systems maintenance within the last 10 years.
Knowledge of methods and procedures allowing for safe and proper maintenance duties.
Knowledge of the material and equipment used in preventive and general maintenance tasks.
Mature attitude and dependability required.
SKILLS
Proficient in general maintenance including electrical, plumbing, lighting, landscaping, painting, carpentry, HVAC, GHS and OSHA regulations, and using tools and equipment needed to complete tasks in the listed areas.
Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.
Ability to safely operate tractors, commercial mowers, gas-powered trimmers, edgers, and other equipment used for groundskeeping.
Willingness to learn new skills as needed.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
General computer skills required.
Valid Tennessee driver license and ability to drive truck with trailer and operate forklift equipment.
GENERAL DUTIES: The Facilities Support Associate 4 will perform building maintenance and related work as required in a variety of areas including, but not limited to: electrical, plumbing, lighting, landscaping, painting, carpentry, and HVAC. Working independently, but under the direction of the Lead Facilities Support Associate 6 and supervision of the Vice President of Operations, this position is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment; ensuring facilities meet environmental, health and safety standards; performing tasks related to facility and grounds upkeep; assisting in maintaining mechanical and electrical systems or performing equipment maintenance; assisting with moving furniture or other large items; assisting with setting up for events; performing landscaping and mowing tasks, and other duties as assigned. This position is also expected to serve as back-up to custodial personnel during their absence. During inclement weather events or emergency maintenance situations, facilities personnel may be called in to work outside of regularly scheduled work hours. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7.5 hours per day, between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. with a fixed schedule to be set after employment begins. Some travel and work at satellite campuses may be required. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations.

SALARY: $31,294 - $39,117 per year ($16.04 - $20.06 per hour). Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines, related education and directly related experience.
