_ Golf Course Marshal Job Description_
Position Concept: The Golf Course Marshal will assist the Director of Golf and Assistant Golf Professionals with any services required while still handling day-to-day operation of the golf facilities at Tchefuncta Country Club. All duties and responsibilities will be conducted with the highest level of commitment to ensure member and guest satisfaction.
Reports to: Head Teaching Professionals/Assistant Golf Professional(s)
Specific Responsibilities – Include but are not limited to:
· Reporting to your shift in a timely manner.
· Always have knowledge over the golfers while they are on the course for the benefit of all who play.
· Adhere to the rules and regulations that are set for our members.
· Remain watchful of the facility for any violation of the rules and regulations set forth for the members & guests.
· Diplomatically solve problems for pace of play or rules questions.
· Communicate with golfers in a friendly manner.
· Understanding members as well as their guests.
· Picking up water bottles, golf towels, or any loose trash on the facility.
· Repair divots with sand when there is a break from play on different golf holes.
· Tracking and reporting the need for supplies necessary for day-to-day operations of their given areas.
· Perform other duties as required.
· Staying observant, report anything unusual to the golf shop.
Requirements
· Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. to shoulder height.
· Frequent bending, turning and kneeling.
· Must be able to stand for extended periods.
· Must be able to operate a golf cart and other equipment in a safe manner.
· Normal vision and hearing ranges required.
Working Conditions
This job is mostly an outdoor working environment. This individual may be exposed to the inclement weather and excessive heat warnings.
Note
The club functions 7 days a week. All employees must realize this and be aware of excessive heat in preparation to remain healthy throughout the workday. In addition, the employee must understand that business levels determine the number of hours they work, and that at times may be scheduled to work less than 40 hours a work week.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $11.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
