About Us
TCI Biotech is a leader in the Supplement Manufacturing industry utilizing cutting-edge automation technology to improve efficiency and productivity. We are looking for a motivated Automation Technician with a degree or certificate in Automation Engineering or Production Automation to join our team and support the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of automated systems.
About the Role
As an Automation Technician, you will be responsible for assisting with the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated machinery and control systems. You will work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure equipment operates efficiently and meets production requirements. This is a great opportunity for recent graduates or individuals with hands-on training in automation technology to gain valuable industry experience.
Location: (Onsite) 737 E 1180 S, American Fork, UT 84003
Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, some flexibility will be needed based off need.
Key Responsibilities
- System Maintenance & Troubleshooting
- Assist in diagnosing and repairing automated machinery, robotic systems, and control equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance on PLCs, sensors, actuators, and other automation components.
- Identify and resolve technical issues to minimize production downtime.
- Equipment Installation & Optimization
- Support the setup and calibration of automation systems and controls.
- Assist in implementing system upgrades and process improvements.
- Work with engineers to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
- Technical Support & Documentation
- Assist production teams by providing troubleshooting support for automated equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and system modifications.
- Follow company policies, safety protocols, and industry standards.
- Facility
- Performing other mechanical, plumbing and electrical repairs on machinery and facilities as necessary.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree or certificate in Automation Engineering, Production Automation, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of PLCs, robotics, sensors, and industrial control systems.
- Hands-on experience with automation equipment through coursework, internships, or previous work experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong in root cause analysis and project management
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics (preferred but not required).
- Willingness to learn and collaborate in a fast-paced environment.
