What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Specialist position at TCI Casing Specialties?
We are seeking a passionate, detail-oriented and proactive QHSE Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for promoting a culture of safety, ensuring compliance with all relevant quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations, and supporting continuous improvement in workplace safety practices.
- Drive a strategic QHSE approach in partnership with all levels of the organization.
- Identify internal and external trends and areas of risk and provide corrective measures.
- Spearhead QHSE initiatives and continuously improve the culture through modeling and training.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and ISO regulations
- Monitor QHSE performance, escalate critical issues, and communicate findings and compliance gaps across all management levels.
- Maintain accurate records through documentation and use of safety software (KPA)
- Act as an in-house Veriforce certified instructor for SafeLand and H2S Clear.
- Create comprehensive monthly reports covering projects, incidents, trend analysis (if any) and the status of safety initiatives.
- Work independently with limited direction and communicate effectively with team members.
- Coordinate and perform worksite and facility audits and inspections, report findings and administer timely corrective actions
- Must conduct timely and thorough investigations, perform root cause analysis, and present findings to stakeholders
- Manage, support, and provide guidance to operations in the Permian Basin and Pleasanton, TX
- Facilitate QHSE monthly meetings, committees, and communications to engage employees and promote a strong safety culture
- Maintain expertise and required certifications as it relates to Oil & Gas industry and the company standards
- Will manage and update compliance systems: ISNetworld, TPS Alert, Zurich, KPA, Veriforce.
Requirements:
- Local candidates preferred
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Minimum 2yrs QHSE experience, specifically oil and gas
- Post secondary education preferred or equivalent experience and certifications
- Experience with compliance systems
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and able to use information systems to efficiently complete the job
- Current and Valid Driver License
- Some travel to Pleasanton TX or out of state where company may provide services
- Prefer candidate with relevant certifications (OSHA 511, Safeland, H2S Clear, etc)
