TCI has an immediate need for an Engineering Technician in Palm Bay, FL. This is not a C2C opportunity.
NOTE: This position requires an active and current SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE.
SUMMARY
The Engineering Technician will perform a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in the design, construction, test and check-out of test equipment.
- Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
- Works from schematics, operating or repair manuals, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
- May work with complex machines or computer systems.
- Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
- Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
REQUIREMENTS
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent AND a 6 years of relevant experience
OR AN Associate’s Degree with 2 years of related experience.
- Cable and harness installation, routing and cable management, cable mate/demate experience.
- Mechanical assembly and test of hardware including ESD sensitive hardware.
- Hardware integration.
- Rigging/overhead crane.
- Preparation for and conducting system level hardware testing (deployments, environments testing, etc.).
- Performing system level alignments to meet system requirements.
- Field support for launch vehicle integration only during a one week timeframe at the end of the year.
- Move equipment weighing 45 pounds or less from one place to another-anthing over this is a two-person lift.
- Occasional repetitive movements during specified durations.
- Manual dexterity, motor skills and situational awareness to handle and manufacture space hardware.
- Basic computer skills.
Salary : $28 - $30
