Service Manager - Diesel Truck Shop

This position is responsible for the overall maintenance program for a 24/7 shop. You will plan, organize and inspect the work performed by your team. You will have independent discretion in judgment and report directly to the Regional Service Manager.

If you are bilingual in Spanish or other languages that is a plus. Strong computer skills are a requirement with at least 5 years of experience in a busy diesel truck repair shop.

Job Requirements:

Operational Skills: This position requires an individual experienced in the service and repair of diesel trucks and trailers. We are looking for a fundamentally solid performer who is consistently able to facilitate multiple projects and remain productive under pressure.

Management: This position requires experience in managing and coaching others. Troubleshooting any issues with a truck repair.

Analysis: Coordinating with operational staff in order to receive maximum productivity from technicians while operating within DOT, OSHA and company safety departments.

Communication: This position requires the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers; and the ability to confront and resolve performance or service issues with customers effectively.

Position Overview

Core Roles and Responsibilities
This includes, but are not limited to, the following:

• Manage shop staff with TCI core values at the fore front - Dedication, Positiveness, Innovation, Ethical and Accountable.
• Meeting with customers to build a positive working relationship and addressing any concerns including providing key performance metrics.
• Training your technicians and administrative team so that they are effective, productive, and capable of supporting our safety plan and customer service.
• Plans, schedules and supervises maintenance personnel.
• Manages fleet needs including preventative maintenance, State and Federal compliances.
• Manage and inspect all equipment fuel island, wash rack, shops waste, disposal control.
• Provide a safe work environment.
• costs and budget control including labor.
• Schedules and conducts monthly and regular Safety and shop meeting.
• Staffing - Interview, Recruit, Onboard, and Train shop personnel to ensure best talent on the team and a fit with TCI Core Values.

Regular worksite attendance is an essential function of the job and is necessary for a variety of reasons including but not limited to teamwork, face-to-face interaction with clients, and working with items or equipment that are at the place of business.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 10 years diesel tech experience.
• 5 years shop management experience.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
• Familiarization with DOT and OSHA rules and regulations is a requirement.
• Strong analysis and decision-making skills.
  
• Superior customer service skills.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Pay:

• Salary Range $80k (Based on experience)
• Plus Quarterly Incentives
