Position Summary:
Under the general direction of the Head of Sales US and General Manager of Home Appliance US, TCL is seeking a dynamic Sales Manager to help drive growth in the home appliance category across key national retail accounts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales goals, developing sell-through strategies, and executing marketing plans that align with TCL’s business objectives. The Sales Manager will work closely with senior leadership, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and act as the primary point of contact for TCL at major retailers. This role will also manage budgets, lead forecasting activities, and ensure that TCL is positioned as a leading brand in the home appliance market.
Duties may include but are not limited to:
- Sales Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with the VP of Sales and GM of Home Appliance US to develop short- and long-term sales strategies, including the preparation of annual business plans, sales targets, and budgets.
- Joint Business Planning: Lead the business planning process for key accounts, coordinating closely with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Go-to-Market functions to align on strategic goals and initiatives.
- Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with major accounts such as Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy, and Amazon, ensuring alignment on sales objectives, promotional activities, and marketing campaigns.
- Sales Forecasting: Create and maintain detailed sales plans, including 180-day rolling forecasts, and conduct weekly and daily sales reviews to track performance against goals.
- KPI Management: Achieve strategic sales KPIs in alignment with account-specific targets. Develop and adjust plans as needed to ensure business growth and profitability.
- Collaborative Planning: Take ownership of the CPFR (Collaborative Planning, Forecasting, and Replenishment) process, collaborating with both internal teams and accounts to optimize inventory and sales performance.
- Budget Oversight: Manage assigned sales budgets effectively, seeking opportunities to drive revenue while controlling costs. Partner with the accounting department to ensure financial alignment.
- Negotiation & Vendor Program Management: Lead negotiations for annual vendor program agreements with key accounts, securing favorable terms and ensuring program execution drives results.
- Event & Program Management: Oversee the execution of TCL's marketing programs, promotional events, and campaigns at key accounts, representing TCL as a top-tier brand in the home appliance industry.
- Executive Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with executive stakeholders at key accounts, managing quarterly business reviews, inventory levels, and ad-hoc business initiatives to increase sales.
- Online Portal Management: Act as the primary liaison for managing TCL’s presence on assigned accounts’ online portals, ensuring brand consistency and effective digital sales strategies.
Qualification/Requirements:
- Experience: 7 years of sales experience managing key national retail accounts, specifically with Home Depot, Lowes, Best Buy, or Amazon. Experience in home appliance sales is highly preferred.
- Sales & Forecasting Expertise: Proven track record of creating, evaluating, and analyzing customer forecasts to drive sales decisions and business growth.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 25% to meet with accounts, attend trade shows, and participate in corporate meetings.
- Remote Location: 100% remote role, with a preference for candidates located near key accounts for effective relationship management.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and other sales management tools. Experience with ERP and forecasting software is a plus.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Negotiation & Relationship Management: Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage relationships at all levels within customer organizations. Ability to drive results through effective client management.
- Strategic & Results-Oriented: Ability to think strategically while also executing day-to-day responsibilities. Proven ability to deliver results, manage priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
