TCLS LLC, a subsidiary of Thirumalai Chemicals Ltd India (TCL India) is building a new manufacturing facility in Northern panhandle of West Virginia. This investment will consist of a Petrochemical plant to produce Maleic Anhydride (MAn) from Butane; and a Fine Chemical plant to manufacture food ingredients Malic Acid and Fumaric Acid.
Project Pluto
· modular construction project with modules and capital equipment, utility packages, pipe racks, cable racks, loose shipped piping and steel structures delivered from India and Europe for assembly at an existing site
· The Plants are largely (70%) modularized elsewhere by TCL Technology & Engineering Division.
· The project will have about 250 modules and close to 80,000 cubic meters (freight tons) of volume and will be transported in 3 to 4 shipping lots from India to US on ocean carriers and on the Mississippi – Ohio rivers by barges up to the site for installation.
Project Status
· Civil construction and foundations onsite are well advanced.
· A Mechanical contractor has been appointed and is working with Owner’s representatives in planning further infrastructure, project management and scheduling. They will act as the General Contractor (GC) responsible for setting the Modules, Independent equipment, Piping, loose shipped prefab structures & equipment onto foundations.
· The Instrumentation and Electrical (I&E) contractor will be appointed soon.
· All contractors and subcontractors have extensive local experience and are Union contractors.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance and Engineering Head to lead the Plant Maintenance team. This role involves leading a team of maintenance technicians to ensure equipment reliability and safety through preventive and predictive maintenance programs, optimizing maintenance processes to minimize downtime while maximizing operational efficiency and equipment life. The facilities and plants include sophisticated and modern equipment like turbines, compressors, centrifuges, high pressure steam networks, DCS and many more supplied by the leading manufacturers globally.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical (or) Equivalent.
· 15 years of experience in maintenance management including at least 5 years in a managerial role within petrochemical and chemicals plants.
· Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team of maintenance professionals.
· In-depth knowledge of the best practices and methodologies in maintenance in addition to modern techniques that ensure high reliability, efficiency, and safety.
· Proficiency in maintenance management software systems and tools.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a quick decision-making approach.
· Sound understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
· Ability to collaborate effectively with peers and colleagues to achieve the organization’s goals.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to work in a plant environment, including occasional exposure to chemicals, machinery, and varying temperature conditions.
· Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, and standing for extended periods.
· Willingness to be on-call or work outside regular hours as needed to address urgent maintenance issues.
