Duties
- Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.
- Utilize effective behavior management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment.
- Provide individualized support to students, including tutoring and special education assistance as needed.
- Create engaging activities that promote early childhood education principles and encourage student participation.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and community members to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s development.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students by adhering to first aid protocols and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with students in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and early childhood education principles.
- Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
- Experience in tutoring or providing one-on-one support to children is beneficial.
- Background in Christian counseling or similar approaches is an asset.
- First aid certification is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification is required.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- A genuine passion for working with children and fostering their growth in a supportive environment.
