Sexual Assault Violence Prevention Coordinator
Primary Responsibilities:
- Promotes Transparency, Teamwork, and Trauma-Informed Care as the guiding principles of professional conduct.
- Provides direct support to survivors of sexual assault by connecting them with resources, counseling services, and legal assistance as needed.
- Responsible for overseeing and approving the research, design and implementation of educational presentations, workshops, and training sessions for various audiences, such as schools, community organizations, professionals, and the public.
- Provides ongoing training and support to staff and volunteers on issues related to domestic violence and sexual assault. This includes ensuring that all staff members are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills to effectively respond to survivors.
- Stay updated on current research, best practices, and legal changes in the field to ensure accuracy and relevancy of the resources provided. Adheres to the Ohio Revised Code, Erin’s Law, and the Ohio Department of Education Guidelines.
- Creates a strong relationship with OAESV coalition providers for their guidance and support whenever needed. Utilizes their insights, resources, and assistance with specific challenges and provides feedback to the coalition providers with the results of their interventions.
- Leads the program coordination with local schools, administrators, parent groups, colleges, and community centers to introduce and deliver violence prevention programs.
- Collaborates with law enforcement agencies, medical, and social service providers to enhance the response to sexual assault cases in the community This may involve facilitating trainings and workshops for these professionals and working to improve coordination and communication between different service providers.
- Has a thorough understanding of dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault and able to effectively communicate this information to diverse audiences in an age-appropriate manner.

Sexual Assault Violence Prevention Coordinator
- Education: Associate degree or higher in Education/Social Service Field or other related field
- Experience: 1 year working in a child/teen field or related work experience
- Certification: First Aid; CPR; De-escalation; Medication Monitoring.
- Other: Valid Ohio driver’s license; proof of automobile liability insurance; access to an operational vehicle; meets ODMH licensure and certification requirements.
