We are seeking a skilled Solder / Assembly Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and fabricating components, ensuring high-quality production standards. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with power tools, and the ability to read and interpret schematics. The Assembly Technician will work closely with various electrical systems, including logic controllers and surface mount technology, to produce reliable and efficient products.
Responsibilities
- Technician must be able to complete a deep dive on a PCB then complete the repair in a timely manner. Work Experience with All types of PCBA preferred, ETC.
- Capable of using a Scope to root cause and repair PC boards
- Discuss layouts and propose assembly procedures / problems with electronics engineer
- IC component removal and installation onto PCB Boards. SMT component along with resistor value understanding. ICP replacement using pick and place diagnostic equipment
- Must be able to perform board level component replacement and achieve low fallout
- Be able to read and sketch drawings to clarify design(s) details that illustrate functional criteria of electronic units.
- Test Fixture build, maintenance, and repair if issues arise specific to board level
- Build experimental, prototype, and production wire harnesses if needed for board level repair cells
- Assembles experimental circuitry (breadboard) or complete prototype model according to engineering instructions, technical manuals, and knowledge of electronic systems and components.
- Recommends changes in circuitry or installation specifications to simplify assembly and maintenance.
- Sets up standard test apparatus or devises test equipment and circuitry to conduct functional, operational, environmental, and life tests to evaluate performance and reliability of prototype or production model.
- Analyzes and interprets test data. Adjusts, calibrates, aligns, and modifies circuitry and components and records effects on unit performance.
- Writes technical reports and develops charts, graphs, and schematics to describe and illustrate system's operating characteristics, malfunctions, deviations from design specifications, and functional limitations for consideration by engineers in broader determinations affecting system design and laboratory procedures.
