Production Associate

• Our state-of-the-art facilities are located in Pendergrass, GA.
• Our Night Shift teams start production at 7pm - and work until end of production (3:30am-6:30am.) (Depending on the department will depend on if a Sunday night start or a Monday night start. Overtime, when scheduled is mandatory.)

Type of Work:

• Sand Cast and Die Cast associates are apart sand casting raw materials for internal components, while die casting is used to make the external housing and cylinders for our AC compressors. Our foundry is unique to this area. These departments do work around furnaces so it can be a very warm environment to work in.
• In Assembly, associates pick parts for the compressors and assemble them in sequence. Lighting, called pick lights, will help you know which part to pick and when. Visual work instructions help you know where parts are to be placed. Compressors move down the assembly line to different stages where other associates continue the assembly process. Sticking to a rhythm, we call cycle time, is important to ensure we meet the Customer deadlines.
• Operators in Machining Departments perform a variety of tasks from monitoring machine line performance, moving material by hand or pallet jack, checking and inspecting parts visually, and by using tools like gauges.
• Logistics has a variety of activities from packing, moving, inspecting, and assembling some parts for our customers. Inspecting each part is critical to our success to our Customer Commitment of Quality. The forklift drivers move finished goods and assist in restocking parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow quality standard instructions, track, identify, and prevent defects.
• Read, follow, and verify work instructions to meet established internal and external safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards, in accordance with the quality management system.
• Comply with all company policies & rules, county, state and federal regulations.
• Work with others to create a positive environment through courtesy, dignity, and respect.
• Perform other duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Proficient in written and spoken English.
• A willingness to learn and positive attitude.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural, team oriented environment.
• Ability to read, understand, and work with different tools and work instructions in a manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands:

• Associates are required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
• Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Occasionally lift and/or move at least 50 pounds safely.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
