JOB DESCRIPTION

The Corporate Banking Team within the TDS Data, Delivery and Integration group is responsible for end-to-end delivery of projects impacting the Corporate Banking business of TD Securities. Projects in this space will be in support of various business-driven initiatives. To deliver on this mandate, the team partners closely with stakeholder groups from across TD Securities (TDS) including members of the Corporate Banking business, Technology, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Risk and others.

The Project Manager is accountable to the Project Delivery Lead for the successful delivery of a distinct project and / or workstream, across all aspects of a Project in alignment with the Program and business and / or enterprise strategies. The Project Manager provides leadership, direction and coaching to teams(s) while partnering with the Leadership team and project stakeholders.

The Project Manager will additionally provide overall project management support including project status reporting, roadmap scheduling, risk & issue management, project financial management, integrated status reporting and presentation preparation. The role is also responsible for ensuring our programs / projects adhere to TD's project management standards and governance requirements.

Job Accountabilities :

Structure and manage detailed end-to-end implementation plans, holding stakeholders accountable for progressing against established scope / timelines while providing timely and effective communication on project status, risks, issues, analyses / findings to Project Delivery Lead(s) and senior-level audiences.
Facilitate detailed requirements discussions across stakeholder groups and promote optimal testing plan / strategies.
Supports delivery governance and compliance of program / project activities with the approved procedures & standards.
Proactively identify and manage cross-stakeholder group interdependencies.
Maintains integrated schedule, interdependencies, critical path and roadmap.
Ensures fulfillment of enterprise financial reporting needs.
Able to understand business needs, then guide the scrum teams to capture appropriate epics or stories.
Present solution options and project status to the leadership, represent project team in decision group meetings working closely with product owner and SMEs.
Maintenance of the artifact repository, organization chart and processes. Maintains risks, assumptions, issues and decisions log, resource strategy and plan.
Manage project financials / budget.

QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS / EXPERIENCES

7 years of project management experience delivering large-scale business and technology initiatives with complex IT solutions in a highly integrated setting.

Demonstrated ability to effectively lead / manage projects with wide breadth of cross-stakeholder impacts and in an agile framework.

Superior organizational skills, including ability to employ systematic approach for identifying and tracking dependencies, ensuring proper resolution of outstanding items, and structuring efficient stakeholder meetings / discussions.

Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal), including ability to formulate concise and impactful methods of communication.

Demonstrated experience of Confluence and JIRA.

Experience with formal requirements elicitation, analysis techniques, process design, re-engineering, and implementation.

Advanced data manipulation skills - ability to investigate and derive findings / conclusions from large data sets.

Demonstrated ability to consistently apply expert judgment with available information when proposing solutions / recommendations.

Ability to navigate ambiguity.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

University degree or equivalent.

Project Management Professional (PMP), Agile Certification or actively working towards is preferred.

The Vice President, Change Delivery - TDS is aligned with the TDS Delivery Accountability Framework rolled out across TDS and will support the end-to-end delivery of the project's deliverables involving high complexity and many cross-functional and stakeholder dependencies. This function enables efficient and effective program delivery of the dealer's major, cross functional initiatives. TDS Change Delivery reflects a significant evolution of our approach to managing and delivering change in the dealer's largest cross functional initiatives.

Depth & Scope :

Supports the end-to-end delivery of the project's deliverables involving high complexity and many cross-functional and stakeholder dependencies

Supports the Change Delivery Leadership / Management in managing a diverse range of stakeholders to meet program requirements and project objectives. Major stakeholders include :

Trading Business Management (TBM), Market Risk and Model Development (PnL, Risk, VaR), Market Risk Control, Operations / Data Services, Finance, Front Office, Technology and Compliance.

Provides leadership to technology and business partners to turn requirements into delivery with analyses and recommendations for solutions that meet business objectives with in a timely and cost-effective manner

Provides timely updates on project status, analyses and findings to senior management and various stakeholders

Conducts ongoing oversight and review to ensure effective implementation of Change Delivery initiatives through requirement building and stream planning

Provides support to management by leading stakeholder management activities and communication through stream deliverables

Understands and manages cross-stream interdependencies

Assists the PDL with tracking project tasks, dependencies, and requirement gaps (ensuring traction and resolution on all items)

Identifies and escalates issues to the appropriate individual(s) / group(s) to ensure prompt attention / resolution

Ensures all infrastructure build activities are supported by adequate documentation

Provides coaching and direction to junior members of the team

Education & Experience :

Bachelor's Degree in any field of study required

7 years of prior experience in organizational change management activities

In-depth understanding and subject matter expertise in self clearing, with experience in Futures preferred

Prior experience with delivering technology for clearing (self or client) is considered an asset

Superior understanding of the end-to-end clearing workflow, with in-depth knowledge of the operational aspects

Superior organizational skills (must be able to identify and track project dependencies & blockers, ensure proper resolution of outstanding items, document meeting minutes and takeaways in a clear and concise manner)

Established rapport with various stakeholders throughout the bank

Advanced Excel data manipulation skills (ability to derive findings / conclusions from large datasets and trouble-shoot errors)

Ability to work on multiple concurrent tasks and manage time effectively

Flexibility to be able to adapt to unfamiliar, ambiguous or changing conditions

Demonstrated ability to make sound recommendations for business decisions

Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational, and communication skills
