Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Tax Manager who has a strong foundation in public accounting. You excel in preparing and reviewing both individual and business tax returns, along with providing tax projections and advisory services. You will review returns and supervise the work of junior staff. The complexity of our client situations will ensure your tax research skills remain finely tuned.

The Work
- Effectively manage client engagements in a public accounting context, overseeing all aspects from planning to final delivery
- Develop and implement tax strategies and adhering to tax regulations for complex tax planning and compliance scenarios, catering to a varied clientele
- Focus on high quality work, supporting the team, and delivering exceptional client service in the most efficient and constructive way
- Remain current on tax practices and changes in tax law to provide clients with in-depth industry knowledge
- Review tax returns and provide constructive feedback on the work prepared by staff, ensuring compliance with firm standards
- Establish and maintain strong client relationships
- Seek opportunities to expand services at current clients and bring in new business
Qualifications
- Active Oregon CPA License
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 6 years of increasing responsibility including experience in a public accounting firm
- Proficient with QuickBooks Online or a willingness to become proficient
- Prior experience with Thomson Reuters Software (UltraTax, Fixed Assets CS, Planner CS, etc.) a plus, but not required
