TDF Fleet is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Rental Supervisor in our Midland location. Providing exceptional service experience for customers and supporting the Rental Manager with the training, scheduling, and supervision of department employees.
What You’ll Do:
- Plan and maintain appropriate staffing levels, including onboarding/offboarding, ensuring the best team for the Rental department.
- Lead, train, and mentor staff on company culture, brand messaging, and policies.
- Ensure proper orientation and ongoing training for new and current employees.
- Conduct regular performance reviews in line with company standards.
- Facilitate team meetings to communicate process improvements and company updates.
- Set personnel schedules based on business and customer needs.
- Ensure staff can operate effectively in the absence of the Rental Manager.
- Build strong customer relationships and meet rental expectations.
- Oversee vehicle deliveries, pickups, and timely completion of rental agreements.
- Manage daily business reports, vehicle maintenance scheduling, and customer complaints.
- Handle commercial accounts and monitor overdue rentals.
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Previous customer service experience preferred
- Previous experience managing people preferred
- A commitment to delighting customers through attitude, attention and effort
- Demonstrate leadership skills and a passion for teamwork
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong computer skills and competency in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
- Demonstrated planning and time management skills
- Able to solve problems independently following company guidelines and policies
