What are the responsibilities and job description for the Licensed Plumber position at TDFloors, LLC?

Job Description

The candidate will facilitate a variety of residential and commercial plumbing functions regarding water, sewer, and gas lines. Installation of common bathroom and kitchen fixtures, repair fixtures, disconnecting appliances, and ensure local plumbing codes are properly followed.

Duties and Responsibilities

Installation : Install plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances, such as water lines, toilets, showers, sinks, bathtubs, garbage disposals, and gas stoves.
Inspection : Conduct visual inspections of projects to determine and assess the condition of current systems, new system requirements, cost analysis, and applicable code and regulations.
System Design : Provide accurate plumbing designs for renovations that comply with local code and regulations. Additionally, provide thorough cost estimates to project managers.
Compliance : Ensure strict adherence to code, regulations, and safety standards on job sites and obtain any applicable permits if required.
Problem Solving : Address complex plumbing issues and require problem solving skills to find a successful solution.

Requirements :

Licensure : Must possess a registered plumber’s license from Allegheny County.

Education : Must have a high school diploma or GED along with journeyman-level experience or completion of an approved apprenticeship program.

Experience : Must have 3 years of experience as a registered licensed plumber.

Technical Skills : Proficiency in reading, blueprints, plumbing schematics, relevant tool knowledge and skill.

Physical Fitness : The ability to perform physical tasks that are industry standard such as lifting heavy objects, working in confined spaces, and maintaining stamina for long periods of time.

Communication : Good verbal and written communication skills. Well-mannered communication with clients, co-workers, and other business contractors.

Technology : Ability to navigate and utilize smart devices for managing appointments, communication, and job performance.

Valid Driver’s License : Candidate cannot have any suspensions or DUI’s and a clean and safe driving record (MVR will be required)

Drug Test : Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and any subsequent random drug tests.

Background Check : Must pass a pre-employment comprehensive criminal background check.
