What are the responsibilities and job description for the GROUNDS CREW LEAD position at TDG Facilities, LLC?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee a crew of 2-4 equipped team members to ensure that weekly grounds tasks are completed with a high attention to detail and quality of service.
- Experienced in crew safety best practices, as well as delivery efficiency, required.
- Perform routine landscape maintenance tasks, including mowing, edging, mulching, weeding, pruning, and planting, to ensure the overall health and aesthetics of the properties.
- Inspect and identify issues related to the landscaping environment and escalate for evaluation.
- Prepare grounds for seasonal changes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, storage facilities, and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety and industry standards while working on-site.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to address concerns, provide updates, and offer professional recommendations.
- Safely and properly operate/maintain equipment and tools. Including, gas-powered equipment such as mowers, string trimmers, leaf blowers.
- Support grounds tasks during snow related weather events, including assisting with snow removal
- Other tasks assigned.
- More than 2 years of experience as a commercial or residential groundskeeper, landscaper, or similar role is required.
- Proficiency in operating landscaping equipment, including mowers, trimmers, blowers, and hand tools.
- Excellent teamwork skills and the ability to work well independently.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads, bend, kneel, and stand for extended periods in various weather conditions.
- Background check and drug screening required.
- Valid driver's license.
