What are the responsibilities and job description for the HV Electronics Technician position at TDK-Lambda Americas?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Follow all applicable safety rules and regulations for High Voltage applications.
- Test/troubleshoot High Voltage (>6kV) capacitor charging, pulse discharge and DC power supplies.
- Test/troubleshoot using various equipment (ie: Scopes, meters, signal generators, power sources, etc)
- Be able to find and understand associated technical procedures needed.
- Identify pass / fail conditions and correct them if needed.
- Ability to navigate computer functions.
- Record data.
- Read a detailed schematic for troubleshooting purposes.
- Perform component level troubleshooting.
- Maintenance of test equipment and test station.
- Layout, repair and build test fixtures.
- Works with external customers on repairs.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES & AUTHORITIES: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Advanced skills: Ability to use internet/intranet, cross functional Enterprise Resource Planning software, the MS Office package, and other software programs and packages to their potential to provide a work product fitting to the level of the position. Must also be able to perform troubleshooting
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: High Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
REASONING ABILITY: High Skills: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must pass HV Electrical Safety Training
- Must pass Technician Electrical / Testing knowledge test
