Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team. Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Provide direct support in accordance with individualized care plans tailored to each person's needs.
- Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and skill development.
- Monitor and document clients’ progress and any changes in behavior or health status.
- Administer first aid when necessary and ensure a safe environment for all clients.
- Assist with heavy lifting as needed for mobility or transferring individuals safely.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients, including those in nursing home or memory care settings.
- Maintain a clean and organized living space while supporting clients in home community care.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in direct support or caregiving is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and assist individuals with mobility challenges.
- Experience in nursing home or memory care environments is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A compassionate approach towards individuals with diverse needs, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various caregiving techniques, including cooking nutritious meals as part of daily support.

Pay: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour
