A small locally owned business is seeking a reliable Pet Nail Trimmer’s Assistant to join their team of service providers. Assistants will travel with and share driving responsibilities with Nail Trimmer to clients’ homes.
Applicants must have the ability to repeatedly kneel, hold and lift more than 50lbs, and safely restrain pets to protect both the Nail Trimmer and yourself while maintaining the safety of the animal.
Confidence and the ability to read animal body language is key to safety and being successful in this role. Experience handling difficult, aggressive, and scared animals, including but not limited to cats and dogs of all sizes is highly preferred.
Duties Include :
- Travel with and share driving responsibilities with Nail Trimmer to client’s homes
- Restrain dogs and cats (primarily but not exclusively) while nails are trimmed.
- Restrain dogs during anal gland expression, and miscellaneous other grooming tasks.
Full time hours- Monday -Saturday 10am-6pm. Pay includes an hourly wage plus tips (Averages approximately $20-$25 / HR)
