We are seeking a Consumer Sales Representative-Retail to join our team at TDS Telecom. As a key contributor to our consumer strategy, you will play a crucial role in growing, delighting, and retaining our customers.
The ideal candidate will have 1 years of experience in sales or customer service, with strong negotiation, selling, and closing skills. They will be able to meet or exceed sales goals, handle high volumes of phone calls, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
In this role, you will deliver sales and retention results through exceptional customer service, handling cash management procedures, resolving construction-related issues, and keeping current with promotions, products, and technology.
You will also be responsible for reselling customers on the benefits of having TDS service, protecting existing revenue, and identifying customer technology needs to offer TDS product solutions.
TDS offers a competitive salary range of $17.66-$26.48 per hour, plus uncapped commission. You will also receive an excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver sales and retention results through providing exceptional customer service
- Meet or exceed monthly sales goals of strategic products such as Voice, High Speed Data, TV, Mobile, and Internet Content Product Offerings
- Handle cash management procedures, including accurately managing cash and payments from customers to deposit
- Resolve construction-related issues by creating and completing Triage tickets
- Keep current with promotions, products, and technology necessary to exceeding or meeting sales and retention goals
- Handle retail office responsibilities, including restocking supplies, maintaining office cleanliness, participating in community events, and working with other departments to coordinate use of space
Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience in sales or customer service
- Strong negotiation, selling, and closing skills
- Ability to meet or exceed sales goals
- Experience handling high volumes of phone calls in a structured, contact center environment
- Understanding of the telecommunication industry and its products and services
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, including verbal, written, and listening skills
- Problem-solving skills, including customer complaints and competitive issues
