As a Hazmat Tanker Driver, you will be responsible for transporting liquid freight using specialized tanker trucks, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies.
Duties
- Operate tanker trucks to transport liquid freight to various locations safely and efficiently.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in safe operating condition.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling of materials to prevent spills or damage.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked and mileage driven.
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations while driving, ensuring compliance with DOT standards.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the tanker truck.
Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for tanker and hazmat operation.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
