Architectural Designer - Project Manager

TDSi - The Design Studio, inc. is seeking a candidate to fill a Architectural Designer - Project Manager position who is mature, professional, with a passion for quality architectural design, and has a firm understanding of sustainable design principles and construction materials and methods. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess leadership qualities, and maintain a positive attitude. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage deadlines, and ensure client satisfaction.

The Project Manager performs routine architectural assignments under the supervision of one or more senior architects. The project manager produces work supporting the designs of others, compiles data, performs design computations, and prepares architectural plans and renderings.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Project Architect(s) in preparing conceptual, design development, schematic, and construction drawings using Revit.
  • Prepare architectural drawing and generate drawing revisions and corrections from redlined drawings.
  • Review design documents and construction estimates.
  • Assist in coordinating with engineering consultants and coordinating documents with Civil, MEP, and Structural drawings.
  • Work with manufacturers, vendors, and regulatory agencies to meet overall project objectives.
  • Oversee project scheduling and manage the project management lifecycle to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
  • Utilize negotiation skills to resolve conflicts and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Implement project management methodologies.
  • Foster effective communication among team members and stakeholders while promoting sustainable design practices.
  • Proficient use of Revit required as well as computer graphic and 3D modeling experience.
  • Experience with Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator), and Microsoft Office, preferred.
  • Digital rendering skills a plus.
  • Utilize excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work independently and as part of an effective team, while effectively handling changing and evolving directives
  • Ability to work independently with proficient organizational and time management skills
  • Highly motivated, good team player with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, collaborate with large multi-disciplinary teams, and work well under deadlines

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture or similar field preferred
  • 2-4 years of professional experience in all phases of architectural projects preferred
  • Architectural license not required
  • Proficiency in Revit is required
  • Strong technical, code and detailing skills for quality documentation
  • Enthusiastic commitment to the team environment
  • Proactive written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven experience in project management and the project management lifecycle
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in project scheduling and scope management
  • Experience with budgeting and risk management
