TDT CPAs and Advisors is a regional CPA firm with six office locations in Iowa dedicated to providing exceptional tax, accounting, and advisory services to our clients. We are currently seeking a full-time, seasonal Administrative Assistant to support our Oskaloosa, Iowa office during tax season. Position Overview:
The Administrative Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office during tax season. This position requires excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize client tax information and documents.
- Call and follow up with clients regarding tax documentation and appointments.
- Greet clients warmly at the front desk and ensure a positive experience.
- Deliver completed tax returns to clients and assist with final documentation.
- Make and enter office deposits accurately and timely.
- Scan and organize documents for digital record-keeping.
- Handle general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and mail distribution.
- Schedule and confirm client appointments.
- Assist with assembling tax returns and other client deliverables.
- Support office staff with special projects and tasks as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Previous experience in an administrative or office support role preferred.
- Basic understanding of income tax forms and processes (experience with 1040s is a plus).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and document handling.
- Professional demeanor and ability to handle confidential information.
- Comfortable handling phone calls and interacting with clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a CPA firm or tax preparation office.

Job Details:
- Full-time seasonal position (January through April), with the possibility of extension based on performance and the firm's future needs.
- Monday to Friday, with potential for extended hours during peak periods.
- Hourly rate of $18.00 - $20.00 based on experience and qualifications.
