Responsible for using mechanical engineering principles to design, develop, customize, implement, test and sustain TDW products and services solutions for customer applications. Works with teams on efforts of significant scope and complexity. May architect product designs, act as a leader or subject matter expert on a project and provide mentoring to other engineers.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to :
- Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design components, products, and systems
- Produces technical deliverables - 3D models, engineering drawings, design calculations, tolerance analysis, analysis reports, etc.
- Creates or manages the creation of product documents (e.g. design package, manufacturing documents, operating & maintenance manuals)
- Completes or facilitates engineering change requests to deliver needed improvements to designs and supporting documentation
- Carries out and directs component and assembly design tasks and produces test plans for the designs. Assists with prototyping, oversees and may perform verification tests.
- Works with system engineering to assist in planning projects and assessing technical feasibility. Leads technical presentations and progress reports, including design reviews.
