TDX Global Solutions is recruiting for a Controls Foreman. This is a full-time position located in Swedesboro, NJ. This position reports to the Director of Operations.


TDX Global Solutions is located in Swedesboro, NJ just outside of Philadelphia, PA. Leveraging over 100 years of combined experience, we design power generation and balance of plant controls. We manufacture control panels with Programmable Logic Controllers, electric metering and protection, and Human Machine Interfaces. TDX Global Solutions has developed systems for commercial and government clients. Most of our work is in the US Northeast, however we have done work for the US Government in Alaska, Hawaii, Germany, Japan, and Taiwan.


JOB SUMMARY:
The Production Foreman is a working position, responsible for day-to-day manual production related tasks, as well as, directing and managing on-site production/assembly workers, subcontractors, and equipment, enforcing the company's Quality & Safety policies and procedures, while meeting production deadlines. Performs startup and commissioning level functions in the field in an autonomous fashion. Manages production staff by communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures. Completes production plans by scheduling and assigning personnel; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; and reporting results.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interprets, implements, and enforces regulatory requirements related to safety, environmental and industry standards.
  • Interprets plans, blueprints, and sketches of proposed structures in terms of the relevant specifications.
  • Manages the company resources and prepares reports on project schedule, equipment, materials, and progress.
  • Responsible to perform all Quality tests, checks, and inspections to ensure finished product meets company standards.
  • Recommends repairs, supervises the maintenance of tools and equipment, and determines work procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide and support PLC and HMI programming capabilities on a project-by-project basis.
  • Confirm product performance by designing and conducting tests.
  • Maintain project schedules by monitoring project progress; coordinating activities; resolving problems.
  • Maintain project database by writing computer programs and spreadsheets, entering and backing up data.
  • Complete projects by supervising installations as needed, resolving design issues.
  • Able to travel out of state or country for up to 3 weeks at a time.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • U.S. citizenship or U.S permanent resident status required.
  • High school diploma, or equivalent, required.
  • At least 4 years controls production and some Field Engineering experience.
  • May be required to possess and maintain U.S. Government security clearance, but at a minimum be able to enter Gov't facilities.
  • Must have a valid drivers' license, in good standing, issued by the state of residence.
  • Have a working understanding of engineering, design, and construction of Power Generation Systems and packages.
  • Capability to develop and read PLC and HMI code.
  • Fluent in MS Office tools (MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project); Adobe Acrobat.
  • Ability to work extended work schedules as needed; supporting the project execution plans and schedules.
  • Project Management, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Process Improvement Technical Understanding
  • AutoCAD Circuit Design

  • Computer skills utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, email, and AutoCad.
  • Strong technical (mechanical/electrical) and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication (verbal, written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Capable of functioning independently and undertaking various technical roles when required.
