SUMMARY :
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a pivotal member of the executive management team, playing a strategic role in the overall management and development of the company. With primary responsibility for financial activities, the CFO oversees accounting, finance, forecasting, budgeting, legal, property management, deal negotiation and analysis and other duties as needed. The role involves advising the CEO and subsidiary managers, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and collaborating with the board of directors. The CFO is expected to uphold the highest ethical standards while safeguarding corporate assets.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES : Finance & Accounting Management :
- Ensures compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and audit
- Manages accounts, ledgers, reporting systems, and disaster recovery
- Develops and maintains financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
- Coordinates tax return filings and monitors financial
- Monitors financial risks and ensures that risk mitigation strategies are in
- Oversees the management and coordination of all fiscal reporting activities for the organization including organizational revenue / expense and balance sheet reports, reports to funding agencies, development and monitoring of organizational and contract / grant
- Attends Board and Subcommittee meetings
- Oversees business insurance plans and assists with health care coverage
Cash Management :
Oversees financial and cash flow forecasting, budgets, consolidation, andOptimizes banking relationships and implements cash flowProvides the CEO with an operating budget and strategic financialProvides recommendations to enhance financial performance and business opportunitiesOperations Management :
Leads in achieving the company's mission and strategicFosters stakeholder relationships and assists in contract development andParticipates with other senior leaders to develop new business and advises on programmaticProvides periodic reports and presentations to the Board ofInterprets operating results and makes recommendations for improved profitability, return on investment, working capital and other financial indicators.Establishes and maintains strong relationships with senior executives so as to identify their needs and seek full range of business solutions.Provides executive management with advice on the financial implications of businessEnsure internal controls are in place which provide for reliable financial reporting, effective and efficient operations, and compliance throughout the Corporation and its subsidiaries.Monitor the internal control environment for weaknesses and implement changes to strengthen controls as needed.Assess organizational performance against both the annual budget and the long-term strategicProvide appropriate measurements to track progress against the strategic plan goals and provide reports indicating performance and forecasting achievement the plan.Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision making issues affecting the organization, e., evaluation of potential alliances acquisitions and / or mergers and pension funds and investments.Analyze impact of establishing G&A allocations to subsidiaries that do not impairStakeholder Relationship management :
Manages the relationship with financial institutions, lenders, bonding companies, auditors, and other critical stakeholders.Provides reports, information, and assurances asCollaborates with financial institutions to optimize banking relationships and explores strategies to enhance the company's financial position.Collaborates with bonding companies to ensure compliance with bonding requirements and provides necessary information.Works closely with the auditors to facilitate audits and ensure adherence to audit requirements and recommendationsEstablishes open and effective communication channels with all critical stakeholders to foster transparency and trustProactively addresses financial concerns or inquiries from external parties and provides timely and accurate responses.Ensures compliance with financial covenants and reportingCompetencies :
