We are seeking a highly skilled Global Product Manager to join our team at TE Connectivity. This role will focus on high-speed backplane connector products in the Converged Data Solutions product team.
About the Job
The successful candidate will develop and implement strategies for new business opportunities, including identifying growth opportunities within vital accounts and developing relationships with emerging customers and market segments.
This role requires strong strategic thinking, experience working across regions, and a proactive, solid work ethic. It also demands collaboration cross-functionally with colleagues in Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Marketing to gain alignment and drive the successful execution of the product roadmaps.
Main Responsibilities:
- Understand market trends, demand drivers, customer needs, industry trends, and competitive landscape
- Conduct thorough competitive analysis and benchmarking
- Create product roadmaps that align with business strategy
- Determine resource requirements necessary to execute the product roadmap
- Work collaboratively to define sales, technology, and operations strategies and goals, ensuring alignment with financial objectives
- Plan product launches, including the development of marketing and sales plans
- Act as opportunity champion for PAC projects
- Built a strong connection with target customer engineering teams
- Provide accurate demand forecast inputs to S&OP and drive needed capacity
- Manage P&L (sales and gross or standard margin) for assigned portfolio
- Track progress to the business plan and facilitate resolution of gaps
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in product management, sales, business development, or other relevant fields
- 4-year technical or business degree required
- Desirable: High-speed interconnect product or industry experience
- Knowledge of high-speed interconnect signal integrity and system architecture is preferred
- Advanced degree (MBA) or relevant P&L management experience is beneficial
- Strong business acumen with an ability to comprehend technically complex concepts
- Creative and innovative thinker able to provide input on product strategies and relevant business plans
- Proven ability to multi-task and drive results in a dynamic, high-paced environment
- Vital interpersonal, planning, organization, and teamwork skills
- Ability to influence cross-functional teams both internally and externally
- Advanced presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $137,300 - $205,900 (dependent on location)
