Position Summary: Engineering Manager
The Engineering Manager will lead a team of manufacturing engineers and maintenance technicians to drive continuous improvement across the plant’s injection molding and assembly operations. This role is responsible for developing and executing strategies to enhance manufacturing efficiency, ensure high product quality, support new product introductions, and strengthen the performance of the maintenance function. The ideal candidate will be both a strategic thinker and a hands-on leader capable of elevating engineering and maintenance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of manufacturing engineers and maintenance technicians to optimize plant operations and support production goals.
- Responsible for creating the engineering strategy to meet the targets for the fiscal year TE Connectivity established. Assign the performance goals to the engineering team (to each manufacturing engineering and technician) and track the progress every month to make sure we are on target.
- Oversee the maintenance department, driving improvements in equipment reliability, preventative maintenance programs, and overall asset performance.
- Drive process improvements in manufacturing processes, focusing on cycle time reduction, scrap reduction, and cost savings.
- Drive the OEE (overall equipment effectiveness) improvements with the core team (planning, safety, quality and production) in each production area and value stream, determine solutions and actions plan to support and meet this metric for the company.
- Implement and sustain best practices in equipment maintenance to reduce downtime, increase uptime, and extend equipment life.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain, to resolve production challenges and enhance plant-wide efficiency.
- Identify, justify, and manage capital projects including the selection, installation, and commissioning of new equipment and automation technologies.
- Develop and manage departmental KPIs, budgets, and strategic initiatives aligned with plant and corporate objectives.
- Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across both engineering and maintenance functions.
What your background should look like:
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering; Master’s degree preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role that includes maintenance team oversight.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of Plastic Injection experience preferred.
- Proven track record of improving equipment reliability and leading successful maintenance improvement initiatives.
- Proficiency in automation technologies, robotics, and data-driven manufacturing systems.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop high-performing cross-functional teams.
- Excellent project management, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

- Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $124,000 – 185,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
- Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
