We are looking for a Tihei Rangatahi Coordinator to join our dedicated team. You will work closely with Rangatahi in the community and support them to find and access different services. You will also create and deliver programmes based on the needs that you identify.

The Role: This role works as part of an integrated team providing support to rangatahi and their whānau. You will help Rangatahi identify needs and achieve goals through delivery of programmes, services and referrals, and support them towards independence. This framework is grounded in Māori culture and values, promoting self-determination and collective responsibility.
This role is a permanent full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm.
As a Tihei Rangatahi Coordinator, You Will Join An Awesome Team Committed To Transformational Mahi. You’ll Establish Rapport With Rangatahi From Diverse Backgrounds, Empowering Them Flourish. You Will
- Establish meaningful relationships with rangatahi in the community
- Support youth to connect with opportunities and services they need
- Influence improvements in social and health determinants for Rangatahi Māori
- Engage youth friendly health services/experts to provide sessions on health kaupapa of interest to Rangatahi,
- Kōrero tautoko to identify any health needs Rangatahi may have
- At least 2 years of experience working with Rangatahi
- Knowledge of Te Reo Māori, and Tikanga Māori
- A full, current Driver’s license
- A can-do attitude and enthusiasm
- Excellent rapport and relationship-building skills
- Kaupapa Māori organisation with regular Kapa haka and waiata
