    About the Role

    The Training Lead sits in the Major Projects team in the Health Protection Directorate of the National Public Health Service (NPHS.) This fixed-term, full-time role provides training and development to the business users of the new technologies that the Major Projects Team is delivering. It ensures that they have the skills, practice and support to use these new products. This role will see you scope, design, develop and deliver user training as well as create enduring digital training artefacts.

We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored.

    About you

    You'll be able to work collaboratively across the sector and organisational boundaries. With an understanding of the business, ability to develop and deliver training packages and the capability to coordinate the training approach across multiple projects. You're able to contribute to the delivery of the team's work plan, influence outcomes and help to manage risks and pressures. Ideally you will have some or all of the below :

    • Experience designing and implementing digital or blended learning and development solutions
    • A history of creating engaging digital and written media that empowers users
    • Proven experience in implementing engaging and learner-centric training programmes
    • Emotional intelligence and ability to work in complex and stressful environments, with a wide range of diverse stakeholders
    • A relevant tertiary qualification in a relevant field and / or equivalent experience
    • 5 years' relevant training or learning and development experience, preferably within the health sector
    • Familiarity with New Zealand health protection and promotion practices
    • Working for Health New Zealand
