Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized, multi-sensory literacy instruction using Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or other evidence-based reading systems.
- Develop engaging and interactive lesson plans that cater to students’ unique learning styles.
- Implement progress monitoring and tailor lessons based on student performance.
- Foster a positive and motivating learning environment that encourages student growth and confidence.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while working with students.
Qualifications:
- Experience in facilitating professional learning or tutoring in literacy and/or reading.
- Familiarity with Orton-Gillingham, Wilson Reading System, Leveled Literacy Intervention (LLI), and Richardson materials and techniques.
- Available for after-school hours and flexible scheduling.
- Strong passion for teaching and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
- Energetic, patient, friendly, and professional attitude.
- Reliable transportation for in-person tutoring sessions.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
