Middle School Teacher for Homeschool (6th Grade Boy, Part-Time)

Teachers To Go is looking for an in-person part-time homeschool teacher to teach all core subjects to a 6th grade boy at his home in Weatherford, TX 76087 Monday-Thursday afternoons from 12-3:30pm OR mornings from 9am-12:30pm. This is a wonderful opportunity for the right middle school teacher: a part-time homeschool teaching position either in the mornings or afternoons that pays $50/hour ($700/week). This is an immediate opportunity for the current school year.

Looking for a teacher who is able to teach all subjects for a boy in 6th grade using their chosen homeschool curriculum. (The parent will supply the curriculum, but is willing to collaborate with the teacher about which curriculum is used.) The teacher will teach all subjects, work to identify educational needs, and review progress with the parent.

The right teacher will be energetic but focused, caring and friendly but firm, and have excellent time management skills. Looking for a teacher who is focused and able to keep the student moving forward and on task. The teacher should be able to help foster the student’s independence and teach the whole child. Ability to teach finance, business or accounting skills is a plus but not required, and additional advanced skills are also a plus.

Teacher candidates should have at least a BA and state teacher certification in any state, plus a minimum of five years teaching experience. Current state certification is preferred, but may also consider teachers whose state certification has expired. Applicants should also be able to teach virtually when the family is traveling. Requirements: Minimum BA and state teacher certification (any state) plus five years teaching experience. Ability to teach finance, accounting, or other advanced skills is a plus. Must be comfortable teaching all subjects through 6th grade level using the student’s homeschool curriculum.
