Job Summary
The HRIS Technical Analyst provides technical support for Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) software and develops reports and utility applications as required. Modifies existing software and configures new system software. Demonstrates a working knowledge of HRIS applications and how they interrelate to other applications within the system. Utilizes the tools of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application and the operating system platform to tune the processing, data manipulation and integrations as required.

Essential Functions
- Researches, plans, installs, configures, tests, troubleshoots, maintains, upgrades, and provides support for various HRIS software systems while complying with all Information & Technology Services (ITS) standards and procedures.
- Coordinates with operational teams on testing strategies, planning and tracking, and keeping in alignment with requirements and solutions.
- Develops, tests, implements and monitors custom integrations with organization or third-party applications.
- Collaborates with operational and technical teams to design, develop, and implement business process workflows, reports, extensions, and integrations to provide additional functionality required by the System to meet operational needs.
- Integral in all phases of the system development life cycle including development of use cases and evaluation of software solutions.
- Researches, plans, configures, and installs HRIS applications, modules and provides support for basic Business Systems. Researches hardware and software development and use by TRS operational departments.
- Uses the Workday Community site to troubleshoot and identify ways to better utilize the system.
- Prepares and delivers Workday reports to stakeholders across the system.
- Identifies configuration strategies, risks, and options and recommend approaches and mitigations to meet functional requirements.
- Provides support and guidance for systems feature, version, and bug releases
- Develops, tests, implements and monitors custom integrations with organization or third-party applications
- Supports release management, reviews release summary and releases readiness documents from system vendors.
- Writes and maintains system documentation.
- Prepares detailed flow charts and diagrams outlining systems capabilities and processes.
- Participates in technical research on upgrades to determine feasibility, cost, time required, and compatibility with current HRIS systems.
- Provides evening, night, and/or weekend on-call support as scheduled
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data.
- Possesses a general understanding of human resources, benefits, compensation and payroll processes.
- Ability to maintain data integrations.
- Possesses understanding of Workday applications and other HRIS systems.
- Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities; adapt to changes in scope.
- Translates business requirements into design and technical specs and ensures TRS takes advantage of Workday best practices.
- Possess strong technical aptitude.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Information Technology or related field is required.
- High School Diploma or GED plus five (5) years of experience in programming, development, report writing or other related IT application development may be accepted in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree.
- Seven (5) years of technical HRIS experience is required.
- Five (3) years of experience in development, report writing, or other related information technology field is preferred.
- Workday certification in functionality modules is preferred.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive information.
