What are the responsibilities and job description for the Custodian for a Child Care Center position at Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center?
Teaching Tree Early Childhood Learning Center is hiring for a part-time custodian responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of school building to ensure a safe and pleasant learning environment for all.
Responsibilities: General custodial duties of up to 12 classrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, offices and general areas. Organizing daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules and monitoring the building for cleanliness. Ordering cleaning supplies and restocking products in classrooms and bathrooms. Professionalism when interacting with staff, families, and children.
This is a Monday-Friday position with hours starting from 3pm-8pm.
Pay would start from $19-$21 per hour depending on experience.
Qualifications: Eighteen years of age or older. Must be able to pass all 3 required background checks, including criminal (CBI), federal (FBI), and TRAILS (child abuse check). Must have a current health physical. Previous custodial experience is preferred.
Physical Requirements:
○ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk.
○ While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to mop, vacuum, remove trash, clean surfaces.
○ The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl bend and twist body without restraint.
○ The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and should do so soundly and safely.
