Elementary General Music Teacher (K-5) – 2025-26 School Year
The Iowa Falls and Alden Community School Districts are seeking a passionate and creative Elementary General Music Teacher for the 2025-26 school year. This full-time position will serve students in grades K-5 at Rock Run Elementary and Pineview Elementary.
Position Overview:
The Elementary Music Teacher will be responsible for developing students' musical skills, appreciation, and creativity through engaging and developmentally appropriate instruction.
Key Responsibilities:
*Develop and implement a standards-based music curriculum for K-5 students
*Teach foundational music concepts, including rhythm, melody, harmony, and expression
*Plan and direct student performances and musical programs
*Utilize a variety of teaching methods, instruments, and technology to engage students
*Foster a love for music in a supportive and inclusive learning environment
*Collaborate with staff and families to enhance student learning and community involvement
Qualifications:
*Valid Iowa Teaching License with a Music endorsement (or ability to obtain)
*Strong classroom management and instructional skills
*Passion for fostering creativity and student engagement through music
