The Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn community school district is looking for qualified applicants to fill an Elementary Classroom Teacher position to start August 2025. The specific grade level will be discussed after learning about the candidate's qualifications. Ideal candidates would be willing to coach middle or high school sports.
The HMS Elementary School serves 250 students in grades Preschool-4th grade and is located in Hartley, IA. We are a PBIS school and the HMS School District uses the PLC framework to collaborate, collect data and plan for student success. Thanks to a very supportive district, HMS Elementary School opened a brand new building in the fall of 2020 that encourages staff and student collaboration. We are located in beautiful Northwest Iowa, just 30 minutes south of the Minnesota border and 30 minutes away from the Iowa Great Lakes/Okoboji area, 1 hour and 20 minutes from Sioux City, and 1 hour and 40 minutes from Sioux Falls, SD.
HMS offers a very competitive starting salary and benefit package. Salary and benefits will be discussed based on the candidate's qualifications and experience.
