What are the responsibilities and job description for the Elementary Special Education Teacher position at TeachIowa?
The HMS Community School District is looking for qualified applicants to fill a 1.0 FTE Elementary Special Education Teacher for the 2025-2026 School year. This position will serve students Tk-4th grade. Specific duties will be discussed after learning about the candidate's qualifications.
Ideal applicants will need to have or be willing to pursue an Instructional Strategist I Endorsement.
HMS Elementary School serves approximately 260 students in grades preschool-4th grade and is located in Hartley, Iowa. It is a PBIS school and the HMS School District uses the PLC Model of collaboration to collect data and plan for student success. We are located in beautiful Northwest Iowa, just 40 minutes south of the Minnesota border and the Iowa Great Lakes/Okoboji area, 70 minutes from Sioux City and 90 minutes from Sioux Falls!
