Xavier High School, a premier Catholic institution with a strong tradition of excellence in volleyball, is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Head Varsity Volleyball Coach for the 2025-2026 school year.
The Head Varsity Volleyball Coach will lead the varsity team while overseeing the entire volleyball program, including sophomore, junior varsity, and freshman teams. This position requires a committed leader who can develop student-athletes both on and off the court while upholding the values of Xavier High School.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level coaching and instruction to the varsity team.
- Develop and oversee the entire volleyball program, ensuring continuity from freshman to varsity levels.
- Support and mentor sophomore, junior varsity, and freshman team coaches to create a cohesive program.
- Teach the skills, strategies, and fundamentals of the game to enhance player development.
- Foster a positive and competitive team culture that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth.
- Communicate effectively with players, parents, assistant coaches, the athletic director, and officials.
- Uphold and instill Catholic values in all aspects of the program.
Qualifications:
- Iowa Coaching Endorsement or Coaching Authorization (required).
- Previous head coaching experience preferred.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- A passion for mentoring and developing student-athletes.
