West Fork CSD seeks a dedicated and passionate High School English Instructor to join our faculty. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering an engaging curriculum that fosters critical thinking, strong writing skills, and a love for literature among students in grades 9-12.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English lessons in alignment with state and school standards.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
- Assess student performance through assignments, tests, and other evaluation methods.
- Provide timely feedback and support to help students improve their reading and writing skills.
- Incorporate technology and diverse teaching strategies to enhance learning experiences.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate with parents and guardians as needed.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
Qualifications:
- Valid Iowa teaching certification for high school English
- Strong communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to engage and inspire students with diverse learning styles and backgrounds.
