What are the responsibilities and job description for the JH Wrestling Coach position at TeachIowa?
East Union Community School District is seeking qualified candidates for the Junior High School Boys Wrestling Coaching position.
Applicants should possess a strong desire to build a true program and culture, while leading the development of the East Union boys wrestling program. Along with wrestling knowledge and experience, a qualified candidate should have a plan for not only in-season development, but also off-season workouts. Candidates should have a strong knowledge base consisting of foundational skills needed to be successful, practice structure, weight lifting program, and accountability processes. A successful candidate must also have the ability to work closely with the High School coaches and program to assist in developing a seamless transition from junior high to high school and will also assist in developing a strong connection between our players and our community with volunteering opportunities and working with the Muscle Mat Club, our youth wrestling club. The successful candidate will also work closely with the athletic director to ensure the team is following all school and state expectations. All applicants must possess a coaching endorsement or authorization from the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners.
