K-12 Music Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education. This role involves teaching music theory, performance, and appreciation to students of various ages, fostering a love for music while enhancing their skills and confidence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the varying skill levels of students.
• Teach music theory, instrumental techniques, vocal skills, and music appreciation.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and creativity.
• Utilize learning technology to enhance the educational experience and facilitate remote learning when necessary.
• Manage classroom dynamics effectively to ensure a productive learning atmosphere.
• Provide individualized support to students with special needs or autism, adapting teaching methods as required.
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with other educators and staff to support students’ overall development.
• Organize performances and recitals to showcase students' achievements.

Requirements

• Proven experience working with students in an educational setting; experience in early childhood education is preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills to maintain an effective learning environment.
• Familiarity with Montessori methods or special education practices is a plus.
• Ability to utilize learning technology effectively in lesson delivery.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; proofreading skills are advantageous.
• Experience in tutoring or providing individualized instruction is beneficial.
• A degree in Music Education or a related field is preferred but not mandatory for candidates with relevant experience.
